The best student dormitory in Zaporizhia
The Committee on youth and family matters of Zaporizhia city council held a competition for the best student dormitory. Six dormitories that belong to vocational schools took part in the competition. According to the jury’s decision, the winner was the dormitory of Zaporizhia vocational education centre for water transport.
A two-storeyed dormitory is located next to the school building; cosy and warm, it is home to 100 students. At their disposal are comfortable furnished rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and a recreation area. The shower room is on the ground floor; thanks to an autonomous heating system there is uninterrupted supply of hot water.
11 December 2009, the city mayor, Yevhen H. Kartashov, handed over a present to the dormitory of Zaporizhia vocational education centre for water transport – a microwave oven.
